2 New Wreaths Coming to the Shop

Good morning, everyone!

Autumn is now fully upon us here in Virginia (though by Thursday we will be back in the low 80s for a few days!!) and I have been out in Santa’s Workshop, Southern Branch, working like crazy to get things made for the upcoming season. Which seems to be roaring down upon us.

I have two wreaths that will be going Live in my online shop this Thursday, October 26th at 6 PM Eastern time. There will be a period beginning sometime Wednesday, probably in the afternoon, where they will be available for you to Preview before going live. I will post a quick note to that effect on Instagram and Facebook once that happens. These two are larger wreaths and because I was all excited and threw caution to the wind while making them, I do not want to ship them. I have shipped many, many wreaths over the years and I am a superior packer but I do feel uneasy about these two. Consequently, they are available for pick-up only. I am happy to work with you if you have questions about that and if you see one you have to have, we will do out best to figure out a way. Without further ado, here they are:

First up is “Hot Stuff.” And, yes, it has wonderfully festive hot colors. The large red reindeer was the jumping off point for this one. It is loaded with all sorts of beautiful ornaments in a very vibrant color palette. The top has a gorgeous German ornament that is complemented by spiky teardrops atop it and a gorgeous, huge spray off to its left. There are many more pieces of note going all the way around and even a hot pink putz house, so please take the time to look at all the details. The background ornaments for the top half are jumbo sized, adding to the overall opulent character of this wreath.

The second wreath, “Heaven Sent,” is the polar opposite in terms of tone and palette. This one is filled with soft colors, mainly pinks and blues, with touches of gold and silver accents. The focal point here is that sweet angel tree topper at center bottom. Around her I built a lovely mass of beautiful old ornaments. The top has a silver corsage, accented with bells and various other pieces, including a pale blue spray that drips down the left side. There is even a little putz church. Note how large the pastel colored balls surrounding the top half of this wreath are, too.

On another note, I have a new Christmas Card for 2023. It is called “Santa’s Flight” and it features a wistful, whimsical watercolor my husband, Patrick, painted in 1995. I have it – and all my other Holiday/Christmas cards, listed in my Etsy Shop. If you are in the Richmond area, I hope to have Holiday cards in my space at Crossroads Art Center by early next week. Have a peek at “Santa’s Flight” below:

Now, I hear Santa calling so I’d best get back to work! Please stay tuned for more upcoming news very soon. I have two shows this year (see my Events page) and I will be back shortly with info about them and everything else.

In the meantime, please feel free to reach out to me with any questions. It is another gorgeous day here today – I hope it is wherever you are as well!

  1. I was so happy to see your Glittermoon e-mail! It put a smile on my face and lifted my morale. Last year was a tough one I know and I’m still working through it. As always, your newest wreaths are very beautiful and I look forward to buying the Christmas card shown on your site. My thoughts and prayers are with you!
    Sincerely,

    1. Dear Heather – I think about you as I know we are on the same journey. You are so right – nothing easy about it and it takes whatever time it needs to take. We were lucky because we loved deeply but it does make the loss hurt deeply at the same time. Thank you so much for letting me know you are “hanging in there” and I am glad that I could put a smile on your face with my doings. They are happy work for me and a great distraction at the same time. Sending you a big hug!! xoxo, Cackie
