This afternoon, I got the unbelievable news that one of my wreaths was featured in the LA Times Home Section today!!! The LA Times!!!! Wow.
You can read the article here.
It is this one:

“Flying High” is really special because it has, among lots of other truly wonderful vintage ornaments, a rare Italian blown glass ski jumper that was commissioned by Sears, Roebuck, and Co. in 1955 to commemorate the 1956 Winter Olympics.
It has been listed on the Beekman 1802 Holiday website.
I say “has been” because I got a call this morning from Beekman 1802 about it. Somebody wanted to buy it. But….they needed it to be delivered to Los Angeles on Monday! Uh, let’s see, today is Saturday. From Richmond, VA to LA via FedEx Priority Overnight is doable. But it is not a cheap date. I called the customer to discuss the options and they decided to go ahead and pay the extra money to have it delivered in time for a party they are having on Monday.
So, “Flying High” is most likely now flying high somewhere over the US on its way to its new home.
And, boy, I’m flying high, too.
My undying gratitude to Brent and Josh, who are Beekman 1802, for inviting me to make things that I love for them. Without them, this would never have happened.
Cackie this wreath is just….well, I cannot do it justice with only one adjective. I wish it could be mine! Congrats to you – you deserve all the recognition you get! I’m so pleased good things and happy times are coming your way after all you’ve been through these last several months.

That would be Awesome!! Thank you! My ailing mom would love to have this done also. I will have work to do in gathering the vintage ornaments by going through all my and mom’s old ornaments together. I have a tree topper also, reindeer and old glass elf statues and so on. My favorite ornament is a pink bulb with glitter on top, much like the gold ornament I’m looking at on the left of you web page. Enjoy your day! ❤
