The Cobbler’s Children’s Christmas

Old Town Square – Prague

Just a quick post to touch base with you since I have been MIA for a bit. It’s not for want of connecting but due to overload in the extreme.  Most likely, you all are suffering like me. Or maybe you’re all ready for the big day and relaxing with an egg nog and “It’s a Wonderful Life” on the screen (in which case I am jealous beyond words).

Last you heard from me I was getting ready to embark on my trip of a lifetime to the Christmas Markets of Europe.  It was A-m-a-z-i-n-g! But perhaps you can tell that just from the above photo that I took in Prague’s Old Town Square the night we arrived.

Anyway, I have so much to tell you and lots of pictures to share so I am going to wait until we’ve all had a few days to relax and can sit down with a nice cuppa and read the whole story. It involves both the good and the bad – the good being everything except for air travel issues, my sweet husband being critically ill and having to be admitted into the hospital at the end of my trip, my adventures of getting home as soon as I could, and the cold I was “gifted” with on the airplane home.

He is home now and trying to get his sea legs back but it’s been tough. And, of course, I have been overwhelmed with work, post-hospital doctor visits, and unbelievably behind in preparations for Christmas. At least I’ve finally gotten the house as decorated as it is going to be this year; I managed to get 2 trees up plus a little one (yay) and am quite happy with them. Now I have to get to wrapping. My brain is so scattered I can only hope that I covered everyone on the list.  Santa, help!
