I Just Couldn’t Take It Anymore

I have been holed up for far too long working on stuff like taxes and other assorted “pleasures” so during this beautiful weekend I just had to get out to the workshop and get something cooking.

Yesterday, I snuck off to one of my Secret Sources to poke around and see what they had.  I got lucky and found quite a few treasures!

This is just a little bit of what I dragged home.  I think the Victorian sugar bowl will make a wonderful topiary base.  I can use the old wood cracker box to display some Glittermoon Cards at my shows, and the building blocks will be available to purchase at one of the Country Living Fairs.  So will the terrific old “Garden Flowers in Color” book that I unearthed – unless I decide to keep it for my own collection.

So this afternoon, I spent some time getting things organized and put away out there.

And then…

I started on a wreath!  Yay.  The colors in this picture are atrocious, which is due entirely to the fluorescent lighting.  I was in the mood for something springy, so I started with chartreuse garland and then went with solids for the outside in the colors of Easter candy. This will not be an “Easter” wreath (at least I don’t think so) but it will have those lovely pastel spring colors in it.

But who knows?  You will have to stay tuned.

Thumper!
Thumper!

Perhaps this little fellow may hop into it.

  2. Hi Cackie, sure wish I could ask you if you were coming back to Calif. But not. Looks like I will just have to arrange to see friends in Atlanta and see you then. Take care and keep up your wonderful art.
