Weekly Photo Challenge: Threes

This one is for my Christmas peeps!

This week’s challenge asks us to use three images; it’s up to us as to how we want to use those images but they should bear some relationship to one another.

These are three images of my “mostly” vintage tree that I put up in my new garden room this past Christmas.  In prior years it was in the dining room.  I like it better out here because I can really sit and enjoy looking at all the old ornaments (with some newer ones mixed in, too).  So here you go.

With each shot, you get a little closer.

  1. Hello, Cackie. I have ALWAYS dreamed of a room just like your garden room! When did you add it to your home? Did you design it? Tell us a little bit, please. (If you’ve addressed this in an earlier blog, I apologize.) Also, I love, love, love (See what I did there?) the photos of your trees, the gardens, and the staircase. Those staircase pics are incredibly evocative. I’m not sure if I expect to see a ghostly whaler or Elizabeth Bennet glide down them, but I’m transfixed by the possibilities! Thanks for sharing these delights.

    1. Dear Pam- You always cheer me so – thank you! I keep threatening to do the story of how the garden room came about on my garden blog (Garden Reverie) and like so many things, time seems to keep slipping by and another week goes by that I don’t get to it….ANyway, it was the original screened porch and I have wanted to enclose it forever. It was one of the best things I have ever done. Now that you asked, I will have to get off my duff and show pics (but you will have to go to the other blog for that). Thanks, also, for the kind compliments on my images. The staircase sends me – it is actualy in my cousin Sally’s house and I fell hard for it. I’m with you as far as the feeling. Cheers! Cackie
